Weekly Taxol
Dr. A. had to stop the Carbo/Gemzar, CA kept going up, now at 140000. Started on Weekly Taxol. I feel ok, very little on the symtom side. Do not understand it? My ascites did go down, but numbers went up on the gemzar.
Sorry the number was 14000 but I will take your advice, thank you.

thank you so much for keeping in touch. I am glad that you feel ok. The fact that your ascites went down means you did get some mileage out of the Gemzar.
That is a stunning CA 125 value. Almost hard to believe.
I have 2 thoughts
-maybe there is some lab error. You could try to get the test at a different lab just to see if the value is the same
-maybe your doctors need to check for infection. Check for a line infection or something going on with a contained bowel leak.
I would consider getting blood cultures and checking a CT scan.
