What are the chances?

I am 44 and have a 1.8 cm complex septated cyst on my right ovary. I also have a new 2.3 cm cyst on the left. I have had 3 ultasounds over the past 6 months, the last being 2 weeks ago. 6 weeks ago I started having pressure on bladder & bowels, lower back discomfort, gas & bloating, and have lost 9 lbs without trying at all. (Uncomfortable but not painful.) The complex cyst is only a few mm larger than it was 6 months ago. I have had irregular periods for nearly a year, night sweats, hot flashes too for the past 1 1/2 yrs. My dr says that my symptoms have nothing to do with the cysts and that I am too young to be perimenopausal (I started having periods @ 9 yrs old & my mom completed menopause by age 41). The dr also says that if I had cancer, the cysts would have grown enormously by now and feels I should wait 2 more months for another ultrasound. I'm getting nervous. What are the odds these cysts will go away without surgery? Could I possibly have cancer? Should I see an oncologist to be on the safe side? I appreciate your help - thanks!

Please get to a gyn/oncologist to get their opinion. I don't want to scare you but here's my story.
2 years ago I had pain and they discovered a cyst but said it was fine so did nothing. Now 2 years later I noticed severe gas but was told that was just IBS. I noticed weight loss but was told that was stress. I noticed bloating but thought all woman have bloating. Then I ended up in the ER with severe lower pelvis pain and guess what the complex cyst is there (with septations) and my right ovary is enlarged! They referred my to a regular gyn who said he would remove it but I did some research and know now that a gyn/oncologist should be doing it since I have cancer in my family and my syptoms (symptoms) are of ovarian cancer. My ct-125 test is also elevated. Insist on this test. Alone it doesn't do much good but if you have sypmtoms too it will help give a further picture. Please go to a gyn/oncologist and get his opionion!! There is a web site called hyster sisters. Go to the cancer concerns and read their stories. I see my onc on thursday.
Good luck to you! I pray you have nothing.

Thank you. I am seeing an oncologist at the end of the month. My family insisted on it! I will pray for you too.
