What could it be?

I am 28 yrs old and have 3 children 10,9, and 2 the youngest one was very hard to conceive with unknown reason we tried for six years and finally got Prego but later learned that the preg. was not complete meaning everything was there but a baby after many tears we tried once more and had my little baby boy. About 6 mths before getting preg. I gained aleast 20lbs but thought it was just a bad diet then I started have sharp pain shooting threw my pelvic area I did visit a gyn who said it was probably nothing and so I just dealt with it. about a yr after having the baby I started with the pain again and also had back pain so I went for an ultrasound and found a cyst again I didn’t think much of it since I had them before and they went away, however this one has not or at least the pain has not. I recently started having worse back pain, pelvic pressure spotting and I am extremely tired all the time. I do take the weight loss med phentermine and that is about when all the spotting started hope that is the reason but even though I'm on phentermine I am still tired all the time. I really worried about ovarian cancer. Someone please help!!!!!!!!!

I know this is a choppy letter and my be hard to understand but I am just a mess right now.........Sorry

First off, if you're having pain, unexplained weight gain and a doctor says it's probably nothing to worry about, you need to see a different doctor. That's not a diagnosis; it's a guess.

I don't know what's going on in your body but the fact that it's been going on for such a long time, I'd recommend having it checked again. It may be a cyst but even so, a large cyst has to be dealt with. Please get it checked and let us know how things go. Ovarian cancer isn't as common as cysts but it's sneaky. And doctors tend to look at everything else (bowel problems, hormones, common cysts, anxiety) before even considering OC.

Thanks ireneo

My P.C. Doc ran all the test that i need done from Vit. D and Hormones on down to the blood test for OC so now it is just a matter of getting the results back anyhow I am so tierd of pain and worry that I have decided to get a hyst. when all this is over.

The blood test for OC, probably CA 125, isn't fool proof. But it's better than nothing. Some people have a high CA 125 result but don't have cancer. Through all this testing did they do ultrasounds of the abdomen? Especially the transvaginal ultra sound? It's kind of a gross test but they can get a close up view of the ovaries. If the ovaries look normal and there's no fluid in abdomen, then I'm not sure what's going on either. It's a shame that you may have to resort to a hysterectomy just because they can't find a reason for all your misery. (sigh)
