by TENA2, Nov 08, 2009 07:53PM
Hi Everyone,
My friend had abdomena discomfort, distension and pain. The doctor did CA-125 test along with other lab tests. I am more concern about CA-125 count, it's 507. Could anyone please let me if anyone has any idea about CA-125 count 507??

The number is high...however, it could be from some other kind of inflammation in the abdomen. such as appendicitis etc.  The ca test is very questionable...it is not a hand's down confirmation of OVCA.  The doctor will probably recommend a ct scan which can help define the problem.  I wish her the best....fingers crossed.

Thanks for the information. U r right, she is been told that she might have some abdomenal (abdominal) inflammatory disease. CT scan shows normal ovaries, some fluid around omentum. We are very worried due to raised CA-125 ????
