What is a 'good' CA125 level?

My first cousin (on mother's side) recently had total hysterectomy after pulmonary embollism resulted in finding ovarian cancer. This type of cancer was found in my mother (who died 23 years ago) and our aunt. So CA125 levels in our family are of a concern to me and my daughter (the only other female in our current family tree). What is the "good" level to have for CA125?

Thanks for the response. Once my daughter comes back home (she is currently in NY to assist my cousin as she gets her first two treatments of Taxol/Carboplatin in case she needs help due to fatigue, etc.) we will see a genetic counselor and get some blood tests done.

I've been reading the various comments posted on your site in order to give encouragement to my cousin. Her surgery occurred 3 wks ago, her first treatment is today. Her prognosis is good, OV CA was totally localized, all nodes to renal vein and passed ovary veins were removed. But she does have no spleen as that had to be removed 72 hours after hyste due to bleeding internally. And she has a mass on her thryroid which has yet to be tested. I appreciated reading that the Taxol has helped some people on your site to be in remission, although the side effects appear pretty awful--numbness, dry mouth, etc. My cousin doesn't have internet access, so I am the conduit for now.
