It depends on the test your doctor uses. I think most doctors use the Abbot CA125 test that has a normal range of 0 - 35. My doctor uses the DCP CA125 test, however that has a normal range of range of 0 - 20. But, I think you are doing your homework here and have probably already read that the CA125 results are not reliable in pre-menopausal women. OvCa CAN be a reason why it is elevated, but any kind of cyst, endometriosis, or even stomach upset can cause it to be elevated, as well. A CA125 is best used as a tumor marker after OvCa diagnosis to determine if chemo is working. So, based on CA125 test results alone, you really don't know a whole lot. If you do happen to have a mass of some kind, the only way to know if it is malignant is to do a biopsy during surgery. I'm sure you've also read Tascha's mantra that 95-95% of all cysts are not malignant. Keep that in mind as you go through all this. I know you can't truly rest until you know for sure, but try to let that ease your mind a little. Easier said than done, I know!
I'm saying a special prayer for you that you find some peace and comfort. It's scary to be new on this journey, but you are on the right track by asking questions and arming yourself with knowledge. Glad you joined the forum.

Thanks, Gail!
It is just nice not to be alone in this. This site is such a blessing to me right now.
I just finished responding to you on a message I sent awhile back. Thanking you for your kindness of going back so far on the forum and asking how I was doing. It's things like that, that make people feel so much better. So thank you for your kindness. Also has any one spoke with Ravenlady lately? Don't see a response from her. Hope she is okay along with everyone else.
Ravenlady is away for the weekend. Her and her dh are pontooning on the lake! It is all good!

Thanks for the information. Maybe she will enjoy herself.
