Hi There,
I would have to defer to your doctor who has seen the ultrasound reports and knows you and has done a physical exam.

A laparoscopic removal of both right and left tubes and ovaries is usually a day surgery. Most of these surgeries require 3 small incisions. You do need general anesthesia.

If you are premenopausal, the big consequence is going into menopause. If you are through the menopause, you might still get some extra  hot flashes but mostly there will not be a significant hormonal transition.

I hope all goes well with your surgery.
best wishes

It seems that I DO have a cyst on the other ovary and she wants/plans to remove both ovaries via Laparoscopic Surgery.  Just found this out....slightly blown away by this 'new addition'.  Okay, now that I know 'which' procedure i'm having can anyone advise me of what to expect in the areas of 'recovery'?
I think i'll need to know all this so I can 'adjust my work schedule' with my boss....
OH & BTW, the surgery is the 31st of this month, with pre-opt on the 23rd.
PLEASE PLEASE, any comments from someone that has GONE THROUGH this would be SO helpful, thank you.
