Worried that my gynos never told me about 3 major things...please comment

I am 34 yrs old, no kids. Since at least 2007, i have been diagnosed with multiple simple/hemorrhagic cysts on either or both ovaries. Last week, i decided to get a copy of my records from my gynecologists (i have seen 3 different doctors within this practice repeatedly). What i found in the notes floored me. They neglected to tell me that in 10/2007, i had a right hydrosalpinx. NEVER told me. i actually had to look it up last week b/c i didn't know it was a blocked fallopian tube. they never told me about it and from what i've read, this definitely impacts fertility. The second shocker came when i read that i had a 4.1mm echogenic mass in my endometrial cavity. which i was never told about either. the notes say "clot or polyp?" and if it were me, i would like to know if it was a clot or a benign/malignant polyp (i was not anywhere near my period). i've had several ultrasounds after this due to ovarian cysts and this was never dictated again. then the BIG shocker came when i read that in april of this year (2010), i had a 5.1cm hemorrhagic cyst with a 2.4cm cyst with septation on the same ovary. i was told about the 5.1cm cyst, but not about the septated one. didn't even know what it was til i googled it and was shocked beyond belief. My questions are...is a 2.4cm septated cyst something they should have done a CA125 on and should they have removed it anyway? also, as far as the right hydrosapinx, does this EVER resolve on its own? Like i said, i've had several u/s since 2007 and you would think they would see it again. i'm hoping it was a fluke. i go to see a new doctor aug. 2nd and hope i can find out what's going on. btw, i also miscarried 5/13/2009, also having a cyst on my right ovary. as far as the 5.1 hemorrhagic cyst this april, they put me on birth control and said to come back in 3 mos for an u/s. i'm already having pain since i stopped the birth control. does a septated cyst go away with birth control?

I can understand your frustration with not being told everything.  That stinks!  Doctors grow concerned about complex cysts when they reach 5cm or larger.  When they are smaller, they usually watch and wait to see if they grow or resolve on their own.  They can go away on their own and most do turn out to be benign.   Birth control pills are used to help cysts go away faster, but it doesn't always work.  I am really glad you are seeing a new doctor.  I am sorry to hear about your miscarriage. :(  I am not sure about the blocked fallopian tube.  Be sure you ask your new doctor about what can be done to check on that.  It is my opinion that you should have a MRI.  With a 5.1cm cyst and a complex one on the same ovary, you need to have a better idea of the consistency of the cyst.  A MRI shows ovarian tissue much better than ultrasound and can also diagnose any other troubles you have in your pelvis.  I hope you find some answers soon!
