Yet another question!

Hi again!
Since I have gotten so much valuable info from all of you, I was hoping for a little more! What is the normal thickness of endometrium? Also...what does neoplasia mean? I picked up my report from my last ultrasound, hence the questions! It says that my right ovary is mildly enlarged with a 2.1 cm complex cyst...volume is 12.4 cc, which seems large compared to the left one which has a volume of 1.9cc. The right one also had a 1.6 cm follicle on it.What does all of this mean?

Thank you so much for all of the info. It said on the report that a neoplasia cannot be ruled out. My Dr is having me wait a month for another ultrasound. Does that right ovary at 12cm seem large? So if the complex cyst is still there in a month, does that mean it will most likely have to be removed?

I forgot to mention...I am 43. Does that mean one type of cyst is more likely than another?

Hi Mary...
I'm not menopausal yet...but am over 40!
I have not had too much pain...a little cramping and bloating...very gassy though...it's not too sexually appealing for sure!Thank you for asking. I am grateful that my cyst is small...but I am somewhat anxious about it even being there. My Dr told me that these things resolve themselves 98% of the time. Is this true?

This being a girl thing is pretty rough! When my Dr first told me about the cyst, I was pretty upset...this is when he gave me the option (albeit not his recommendation) to remove it if I was going to freak out for the next month. Decided I'd take his advice as he reassured me that if he thought it was bad, he would be getting it out right away. He's been my MD for a long time, and is very patient with me. Nonetheless, the whole thing makes me anxious. Did you feel this way too?

I to was wondering about the size difference between Ovaries. My left is 10cc and the right is 3cc.
Try to get plenty of rest!!!

Yes...that size differentiation between the 2 ovaries seems like a lot to me, yet on my report they called it mildly enlarged...hmmm...
The gasiness continues..but the less I eat, the less I produce!
Great dieting strategy...haha!
