If the patient with late stage ovarian cancer is able to take food or medicines by mouth, then charcoal tablets or simethicone can be given to get rid of excessive gas in the abdomen. Probiotics can be given to improve the gut count of helpful bacteria. Other than this there are many enzyme preparations which can be given to improve pancreatic and liver digestion. However, it is best to consult the treating doctor before starting any treatment. Take care!
