Alkaline phosphate comes into the blood as a waste product. If levels are high it can be an indicator of a problem, but a low number is not indicative of anything. A common reason for an elevated one would be gall stones or a bile duct problem. My Aunt's was very high when she had a gall bladder attack. Don't worry about a low one. Marie
