abnormal papsmear

HI

My doctor called me Friday night and told me that my papsmear came back abnormal.  Is this something to worry about?  I have to schedule an appointment for a second check.

Can a Papsmear detect not only cervical or ovarian cancers, but other sorts of sexually transmitted diseases.  For example, HPV(Humanpapalomavirus).

I also had a pap come back bad last year.. After a few biopsy's they discovered that I had Severe Dysplasia. So the doctor took off the affected part of my cervix and I had a pap after that and it came back normal. I went back last month for a checkup and just received a call the other day that my pap came back bad again and I have to go back in for another biopsy. So I am not sure what it is this time.

I recieved results from a papsmear and it came back class 2 . what can be done. I have taken medication but i need more info about this. Thank you
