abraxne and ovarian cancer

Has anyone been able to get abraxne covered by insurance coverage for use in ovarian cancer?  I am allergic to taxol and need continuing treatment.  Any advice would be appreciated.  Blue Cross PPO is my insurance company.

Softride,
I work in a cancer center and we have a pharmacist on board that helps to talk with insurance companies in these situations or to ht e companies that make he drugs to help ou get them covered by insurance ot toget them directly thru the drug company on a prescription program.  You may check into that.  Or, speak with your  doctor they have access to the drug reps of the companies that could hook you up on a program.

Thanks!  I hear from insurance company that as long as it is FDA approved for ovarian cancer it will be covered.  It is only FDA approved for Breast cancer at this point.  I will let you know how it goes.  It is great option for people with sensitivity to normal form of taxol.  I will see how it goes, I am fighting for it now.
