Yes, my dermoid was removed via lap and it was quite a bit larger than yours, they ended up taking my ovary and fallopian tube with it, I now have about an inch scar on one side. I bet if you search in this site for dermoids you'll find more info, there's been a lot of discussions about dermoids and pre and post surgery concerns. good luck
Hi. I believe Tascha(Gatsby) had two softball sized ones removed. I'm sure she'll be along to tell you about it once she sees your post. Hang in there and take care!
Hugs,
Darlyn
Yes I had a dermoid cyst removed when I was only 16. I had it for over a year before they finally detected it. It was had also wrapped itself around my ovary. I had increasingly bad pain and ended up being hospitalized and finally having to be flown out for emergencyEmergency airway puncture Emergency contraception surgery. It wasn't until surgery that they realize it had wrapped itself around my ovary and began cutting off the blood flow, I was lucky they caught it in time before having to lose my entire ovary. Also luckily it was benignBenign ear cyst or tumor Benign positional vertigo, as most are.
