borderline tumor

borderline tumor

Last November, I underwent emergency surgery and had a borderline tumor (very large) removed.  The tumor had a small portion of invasive cancer.  It is believed that, at the time of the original diagnosis, I was stage 1A, but proper staging was not completed at the time of my original surgery. After much debate, my doctors decided not to do further surgery to complete the staging, nor give me chemotherapy.  I only have follow up appointments and cat scans to check for a recurrance.  I have since had my first cat scan and MRI and have been diagnosed with cysts on my liver, which were not noted at the time of my original surgery.  Should the treatment plan remain the same (watchful waiting), or will it be recommended that the cysts be examined for a spread of the cancer
