ca125

If one lab uses the beckman method and on lab uses chemiluminescence immunassay method will the ca125 vary between the 2  to indicate an elevation that may be due to change in lab methods instead of disease?

Even if 2 different labs use the same method, there is a good chance that the readings may vary. It is a good idea to have the blood tests taken at the same place all of the time so that it is always sent to the same lab, then the readings will be consistant.

The results of the test can vary a huge amount from lab to lab.  Use the same lab every time.  I have had a 100 point difference in lab results.

It is very possible, different methord has its own standard range.  It is very important to go to the same place for ca125 test if it possible.  It is like apple compare to apple every time not to pear.  I would go back and have the test done again in the place where you are going to be there every time in the future.
