cancer in body fluids

A relative has gone out of remission from ovarian cancer and says that her doctor explained that there is no organ involvement as of yet but there are pockets of cancerous fluid.    Can anyone better explain this to me?  Thanks!!!

I was blocked so if I ate it came back up. I did not just throw up occasionally I had to carry a bucket with where ever I went. I ate avocados because they could slide though the block. Liquids came back up.

Do you have ascites and are scared? If you start dropping weight you need to have it addressed. I threw up for two years. I do not know the statistics unfortunately.

It is scary but this Cancer is treatable. They call it a Chronic illness.

Thank you so much for your response!  We had, of course, been expecting the cancer to return but the fluid explanation came as a surprise to us. She and the person with her were so surprised, in fact, that they couldn't even think of what questions to ask the doctor.  You have been very helpful to us in this horrific time!

The Cancer Fluid is called ascites. Ovarian Cancer floats around in the ascites and latches on to organs. When the Cancer is to small to see on a CT SCAN or the CA125 blood test is under 35 you are in remission. Ovarian Cancer is a chronic Illness in only rare cases does it go away completely. If you can have a long remission in the beginning that is great.

You might ask if they know about the ascites why don't they do something or treat sooner. They really can't treat what they don't see. Also people need breaks from treatment.
