Hi Nanik, my new gyne told me that anesthetic slows the bowel down for a "long time". I swear the only thing helping me is those Fiber Choice tablets, and they took about 3 weeks of daily dosing to kick in. I wouldn't worry too much. I think constipation is pretty normal after these sugeries. I had to postpone my colonoscopy due to the breast issue. I will reschedule, after I recoup. Maybe we can do the colonoscopies "together"? lol.

I have a friend who's 13 year old son has to have a colonoscopy every year due to lots of polyps he has had removed in the past.  He has to go in every year for a colonoscopy and if there are polyps then they remove them.  They are then sent to the pathologist for results.  Hope your results are good.  Please keep us posted. hi timok, glad you are done with the test, i hope all the path reports are GOOD!!! Just curious if you had any constipation or did you just have your test because it was time? I'm overdue but still recovering from the TAH and BSO. Starting to get a bit concerned because I seem to eat fine but I don't "go" (where is the food/waste going??)

At least the polyps are gone and that is a plus.  Usually when they get them that small they are benign or pre-cancerous.  Not to worry as EARLY DETECTION is the best cure!!!  You are in my thoughts and prayers and I will wait with you for the results.  Godspeed

They will have to give you pathology results on the polyps, but I think they're usually either completely benign or PRE-cancerous.  That means once they're removed you're fine.  They may want you to come back for another test sooner than normal if they found polyps this time, but I wouldn't be worried.

I don't know how long pathology results will take on the polyps, maybe about a week?
