Hello,
I am a 34 year old women.  I have had ovarian cysts that have been painful and have even taken me to the ER but they were always fluid filled.  Now the pain will not go away and I am spotting and after another pelvic ultrasound I found out now it is a complex 2.8 cm cyst. Today they took my blood work and are testing for cancer and endometriosis.  He said it is up to me if I should have the lapro.

The pain never goes away.  I cant huntch over, I can't sleep on one side or have intercourse if I wanted to.

Any advise???  Thank you.

I am 39 yrs old and I have had my period about every 20-28 days for the last year.  When I went for my yearly I told my doctor so she suggested we do a vaginal us.  She called me a couple days later and told me about the masses and know I am having a biopsy on 2-12-07 I have never had children and I have CP.  I am worried it is cancer.  I have no family history of cancer it is just the word mass scares the hell out of me.  Thanks for the input I would appriciate any further thought you might have.
Thanks,
Cogs

Hey Cogs,
We all worry, join the crowd!  Sounds like you have a solid mass on each ovary and although small a check for endometriosis is on the list of diagnostic techniques.  So are you under forty?  Have you had more than one Ultrasound and if so was there a change in size of the masses?  I had two solid masses on one ovary and they were both benign but had been there at least a year and probably longer.  I had a dermoid and something called a brennor tumor, one prevalent in younger women and one prevalent in older women.  Hello middle age!  I am almost 50 so didn't get the long drawn out "Watchful wait" that the Gals under 40 get.  I hope yours is not endo as thats the "gift" that keeps on giving.  If that's what's up, better to know it.  So tell us a little more Cogs and welcome to the site!  MV
