complex ovarian cysts

by yes123, Mar 29, 2007 12:00AM
I am 53 years old and currently going thru the menopause. My last period was July 2006 (not one year yet).  The Nov. 2006 ultrasound showed that I had 1.0 cm compex cyst in my left ovary.
Then this March 2007 ultrsound showed that in additon to the cyst (0.9 cm) in the left ovary, now I have a 1.4 cm septated cyst in my right ovary.  the CA-125 blood test was 8 (normal under 20).  Although my doctor thinks these cysts are so small, are not of concern.  I am very worried that we may miss any problem here. anyone has similar problem, please advise. Thanks!

Hi There,
if you are worried, then you should talk with your doctor about undergoing a laparoscopy. You should also ask your doctor what are your risks for a gyn malignancy such as having a family history of gyn malignancies.
best wishes
