hey....erm well i had slight discomfort for the week leading up to being admitted into hospital but i had previously had pain in the same place months before but the doctors just labelled me a mystery and sent me away....but 3 days before i was admitted into hospital i couldnt do anything because of the pain and couldnt seem to get comfy atall....it was a sharp constant pain on the side where the ovarian cyst was. i couldnt eat because i was constantly being sick and also had a major lose in appitite and if i did eat i would get serve stomach pains...however the doctors did say i was strange in the way my stomach still stayed flat and wasnt tense (they all thought i wouldnt need surgery!!!) ...i hope i have helped!! x
the pain you are feeling could also be from the cyst rupturing and causing what is called mettle smirtz. it occurs when cyst rupture and the blood/fluid that filled it are touching your other organs. i am ony 18 and have suffered from painful cyst for about 6 years. i have found the only thing that makes the pain compleatly go away when they have ruptred are narcotics (from the hospital) something to try is going to yu ob/gyn and seeing if birthcontrol will help reduce/eliminate the cyst. hope this helps!
I have a couple of questions for you my daughter is 13 years old and has her period since she was 10 with no problems with it......until last year when she got her first cyst which they removed with no problems....... This year in April she got another one which they decided to drain because of the pain it was causing....3 weeks later she had recurring pain and said they thought the ovary had closed over and was now refilling with fluid again they left her for 4 weeks this time (on morphine, codeine ,panadol, diclofenac.) we spent this time on leave from hospital but mostly in hospital.....the pain got to bad so they went back in to remove the cyst........they turned the ovary inside out and completely removed the cyst.......while they were there they burnt of what they questioned might be (endo).so we came home feeling like it was over for her... Symptoms are right side pain all the time nausea with pain and with meds.....vomits most night around 2.00am-- 4.00am Tiredness Off her food NOW we are into week four and the same pain is back meds are the same but they have added Haloperidol to keep the morphine down they want us to try and ride this out but I am worried sick about her I can understand how the ovary can close over and repeat the same thing over and over again can you help explain this to me PLEASE.
x
