What your granddaughter is experiencing is anything but normalNormal saline flush......if she hasn't returned to the hospital she definately should. Please be pro-active for her if she is unable to assert herself.......she is a lucky girl to have a grandmother who is looking after her. Please do keep us posted.

Yes, she should be seeing a wound specialist... the infection can make it much harder for her to heal. I would not say this is "normalNormal saline flush" because this has more to do with surgery than with cancer.
