Does anyone know why she believes this to be anything other than a cyst ? what does a line down the middle mean ? I was too shocked to asked any questions at the time now I;m kickig myself.
My cycles are much heavier, I get them later and later sometimes every 30 days, sometimes every 60 days, I'm 40 years old, had my tubes tied at 30, have 2 children, Have 2 aunt on my mom's side who had total hysterectomyHysterectomy Hysterectomy - series, unsure why.
I'm scared if the C125 comes back low and it is a false Negitive. I want this out no matter what, do they do that ? or do I have to follow the doctors guidelines, I hear about so many woman who's C 125 markers came back 3 or 7 and it turned out they were in stage 3 ovarian cancer, I do I insure 100 % what this growth is ???
First I want you to know that you are very lucky to have a GYN who really cares about you, want to get to the bottome of your fast growing mass by testing your ca125. Second you do need to ask your mom the reason why your aunts has hysterectomy. Third i don't think dr will disagrre with you if you want the mass out and have a total hysterectmy since you do have synptoms may from the mass. Last I woulkd like you to know that fianl dx of OVCA is from biosy in most case, until then please do not over worry.
It is very important to have YGN/oncologist to do your surgery at least have ont on call. They have extra trainning on the field(female production system), you don't have to be a cancer patient to see them. Please keep us posted!
Yes I have a great Doctor, Guess that is why I have been with her since 2000. Right now is the wait game, I had my blood drawn on Friday Morning so I hope it comes back soon.
I am trying to think positive, but this was the first time a doctor dod not reassure me that everything was fine just precaution testing.
Again, as Junamgen wrote to you: You MUST see a GYN/ONC for the surgery. This type doctor has more training on the surgical procedures and the treatment of female cancers...should it turn out to be cancer. The initial surgery is very important on the overall survival rates of Ovarian Cancer.

She was pretty sure it was not a cyst.
