echogenic area on left ovary

by jdenny, Jun 25, 2009 10:34PM
hi i have been suffering with endometriosis for about 5 years now i have no babies which has always been my dream.  but i had an ultrasound and i dont have insurance so i couldnt afford to go back to the doctors for the results so i got a copy of the report and in it, it states there are multiple follicles in the right ovary.  i had a ovarian cyst removed back in 2006, it also says i have posterior to the left ovary there is an echogenic area, which did not change throughout the exam. a small amount of free fluid is seen in the pelvis. so does anyone know what any of this means.  i am so scared that i might have cancer or something serious and i dont know what to do!! I suffer every month in so much pain when my menstral period comes.  so please please someone explain some of this to me
