enlarger ovaires

I had adnomyosis and had a hyster about 1 1/2 years ago and  6 weeks later had emergency surgery for hemmoraging from a blood vessel in the abdomen that had been cut during it.  Since, I had developed an unspecified angine, low blood pressure (77/57) with frequent falls, have broke my wrist, multiple head concussions.  My SI joints and killing me and have gone through approx 15 injections (steroid) to try to help with no benefits.  Before the hyster my ovary size were right 1.76 cm3 and left 3.04cm3, about 2 weeks ago had ultrasound done again of ovaries and they increased to right 9.29 cm3 and left 8.63cm3  is this any concern, my GYN said both US were normal, yet I am having 75+ hot flashes a day, terrible lower abdomen pain and if I am on my feet for more than 30 minutes my belly swells like I am pregnant.  About 6 mths ago went to the er and they thought I needed to go to labor and delivery (I only weigh 120lbs)  The ER didnt know what the problem was other than a cyst on the left ovary and sent me home to follow up with GYN.  Where do I go from here?  I am not sleeping well at all, mainly because of hot flashes and pain.  Have to depend on lunest to get any sleep which cannot be good, tried HRT and did not respond at all, was even put on promethium with no reponse.  I am at a total loss of what to do or where to go from here.

Hi There,

sometimes cysts develop on the ovaries after the removal of the uterus. This maybe because the blood supply to the ovaries has been reduced.
You should ask your doctor about two options:

-Removal of your ovaries. If they are truly 8-9 cm, they could be the source of your pain.
-or suppressing your ovarian cysts with the birth control pill  (that might help your hot flashes as well)
best wishes

To: Dr Goodman
The ultrasoundf from the 8th of this month showed no cysts and my ob/gyn said it was normal.  He suggested I see a GI doctor.  If I am on my feet for more than an hour, my belly swells up and it looks like I am pregnant (I weigh 115lbs)  once I lay down and rest, the belly goes down.  I have to believe this has something to do with the hysterectomy, as I never had these problems til then.
thanks again
