Good for you, I heard juicing does wonders. Go to Whole Foods & pick up more info. They're very helpful. I don't know much about ginger, but ask Simply Star...she may know more about it. Adding essential oils & detoxing from DEA, sodium lauryl (eth) sulfate, propylene glycol, & other harmful toxins has helped my family & I. Best of luck to you, peace.
My daughter drinks ginger tea and is now using ginger root. Buy it at some grocery stores in the produce dept or at health food stores. Peeled and diced can be added to many dishes and it adds a great flavor. U of Michagan did the tests and found that in the lab, it killed the OVCA cells. It has been used for years by pregnant women for morning sickness, also works better than Dramamine for air sickness. several tea companies are selling ginger tea, some mixed with other fruit flavors.
Are you from Minnesota, too. I noticed you mentioned Mayo in one of your postings.
No we live in Iowa, but when we checked for a good cancer hospital we chose Mayo in Rochester. Had a great onoco surgeon there. My daughter has very good insurance and had almost 7 months paid leave, she did the follow ups and chemo here at home. So far so good. But like Jatoo says, you have to keep researching to stay up with the latest. I spend long hours looking for answers. Some I can tell are just to sell a product, but others are backed up with good sense and sound research. PH levels, O2 level, these things can be added to a life without too much change. Leslee has changed her diet alot, but is also doing a lot of the other reccomended things, sometimes it is the small things that make a difference. Aromic candles, walks, the warm teas, medicine ball exercizes. She has full family support and her co-workers are so good. She is very open about her cancer and her positive attitude spreads to all around her. She is very aware of the dire consequences of her future but is doing all she can to prevent a reccurance. When she told me she had cancer, I was devastated, any mother would be. Since then I learn all I can and pass it on to her, the forum is a great place to learn from.
My aunt was diag with terminal breast cancer over 8 yrs ago and did not take chemo only radiation and treated her cancer with essiac tea. She swears it cured her cancer. I don't know. She recommended the loose tea you have to boil and steep overnight not the prepared kind. I'm not promoting it in any way just telling you my aunts experience. I did take it after being diag with my complex cyst and before my surgery (had to wait 3 mos for surgery). The history essiac tea is kind of interesting you should look it up. My aunt has never had a recurrence and is doing well cancer wise today. Like I said - who knows if it helped her or not? Don't forget to mention any herbal treatments to your dr as they might interfere with medications you may be taking.
Take care.
Debbie
Your daughter is soooooooo lucky to have you! I lost my sister to melanoma in 1994.. My mom was a retired nurse and she was with her through the whole thing. Mom passed away in 2000 and I am feeliing rather alone - Mom is not here to take care of me.
annie would love to adopt you. If in my small way I can ever help anyone that is my purpose in life. God put me here at this time I feel to help others with his guidance. I have lost both my parents, all my siblings, my hubby of 42 years, and I do not intend to lose any of my kids.
Sounds like a ggod deal to me!
