Hi,
I'm sure your doctor said more than just that, did he do a transvaginalTransvaginal ultrasound ultrasound to see if there are any abnormalities on your ovaries? If he does see something questionable, he may order a scan for further evaluation.
If there is something that needs further investigation, he'd most probably refer you to a cancer specialist.
I understand your frightened, but you didn't tell us what the number of the CA was, up to 35 is considered normalNormal saline flush, and there can be other reasons for a high CA125.
Why don't you call him and talk it over with him.
Good luck,
Jane
My doctor didnt tell me what my number was, she just said it was elevated fairly high. She is ordering me to take a pelvic and abdominal ultrlsound. But I can't get one for 2 weeks so im very nervous. What led me to be checked for this was i have the urge to pee alot, I mean I can take a sip of water and have to pee within 3mins. Also, i get bloated for eveything. If they are elvated very high what else could it be? Im only 28 and have a 10 yr old daughter. Im very scared and fear the worst.
Hi again,
You have to be pro active with your health, as I'm sure you are with your daughter. No one else can stand up for you.
Please call your doctor tomorrow and ask what exactly is the number of the CA125. Then tell the office or hopefully the doctor that there is no way that you can wait 2 weeks for a 15 minute ultrasound. If her office can't give you a sooner date, ask her to refer you to some place that can, an associate or another medical center
.
I understand your concern, and I'm concerned about the need to urinate frequently, it's possible something could be pressing on your bladder, or a urinary tract infection, has she checked you for that?
Feel good and keep us updated,
Jane
I, like most of the ladies here have learned that we must be advocates for our own health,
