fluid accumulation

by yardleigh, Jul 02, 2009 04:40AM
Yesterday I had litres of brownish fluid drained from my abdomen. I had bee hugely distended and very much in pain. When I asked about the cause, I was told that this is all part of the disease. I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer about 18 months ago. Following a  histerectomy, I completed one round of chemo and am trying a second round.I would like an specific answer rather than 'it's part of the disease'

You must be feeling much better.....that is good.  I think what you are talking about is "ascites".  If you Google the word "ascites" I think you will find your answer.  I have no personal experience with ascites so I have no advice to offer.
I hope this second round of chemo does the trick for you.  Good luck!
Peace.
