fluid next to left ovary/good news update

Hey there!

I just wanted to follow up with my ladies.  The fluid was benign and I had a cyst on my fallopian tube that was benign as well with slight endometriosis.

I'm really thankful for an explanation to why I was feeling so symptomatic.  My Dr. made 3 incisions and nothing looked precancerous so no hysterectomy happened.  Although I think with my family history I will have a hysterectomy in my mid-30's to be cautious.

Thank you for being so supportive Pam, Dina, and everybody...

I've gone back to work now trying to help pass the ovarian cancer tag here in Alabama.  KY is getting close to passing theirs as well...

I will drop in more often.

love,
meg

Please go to ovarian.org and click on NYS and then the Long Island Chapter...although I do not know if it has been updated.  We have a walk/picnic on Sept 30th....we would love for you to join us....would we Helen????  We meet every third Thursday of the month at the Plainview Library, support group starts at 645 and general meeting starts at 730.....we have an educational seminar booked at the Farmingdale Library...and we will be at a number of health fairs throughout Long Island during the month.

Helen may not stop by this post again...sooooo...and I don't think that she would mind my responding.

Hope to meet you in person!!!!

Pam

I LOVE YOU GALS!

Thank you and I am happy all is clear too.  There is nothing better than 'benign' Pam for sure!  I'll have to check out Dr. Northrup!  Thanks Helen!  I'll let all you Long Island ladies know when I come up to NY again.  I'd love to come up for an NOCC event.

I'm really thankful for this support system online.  It makes everything feel less isolating.

love,
megan;-)

I'm also on Long Island and I saw your note that there are a bunch of things going on in the area.  Any info you can pass along or a web site where I can go to get more details?

Thanks!

Hi Meg,
It must be such a worry now to have this in your family. I am so happy that you are OK. With everything you went through with your sister, you do not need this.

It's so wonderful you are promoting ovarian cancer. We have a lot of things going on in Long Island especially in September with it being Ovarian Cancer Month with the NOCC.

I saw Dr. Northrup on PBS last week. I think one of her books would be good reading. She is a gynecologist.

Be well, stay well,
Helen
