Hi. I have a copy of my pathology report and these are the numbers I find there:
inhibin b reference range is <255 pg/ml
inhibin a reference range is premenopausal-less than 98
does this help?
I would ask your gyn/onc that question - I really don't know. I don't have the inhibin tests because they were not a marker for me. Maybe someone else would know or you can post to the ovca.net discussion board. They have a good granulosa cell tumor thread there and you will probably get an answer from someone. Good luck on Nov. 7. Chris P
I just have gone through 40 pages of posts....I posted a month ago and got no/responses. I , too, have had the inhibin test like you; Nov. 11 will/be 6 years since my surgery. Recently my inhibin b went to 20 ( most have been 10 and an occasional 13 or 15) The oncologist, I was referred to last year ( I moved) wants to retest and see me Nov. 7. Is there a particular "number" that indicates another GCT? rosey464431
Chemo is usually not given for the earlier stages of gct but that can vary according to what your gyn/onc thinks. I was stage 1c and did not have chemo. The first two years after diagnosis I had check-ups every 3 months and a yearly CT scan. Now I have a check-up every 6 months and a CT scan every other year. Some women with gct have their inhibin levels checked on a regular basis as gct is hormone receptive and a rise in inhibin levels can indicate recurrance. Chris P
