help- grade 1- chemo?

by melenzbee83, Apr 24, 2009 06:04PM
Hi ladies,
I know i have started a few threads but I am so confused about this all and have had different questions/ requests for each one. Just wondering if chemo is normally used for grade 1 ovarian cancer after radical surgery? also is yes what type? does anyone have websites, direct links to articles that i could research? I go up Tuesday for surgery so i feel very rushed, but i will not start the chemo until i have done my own research and my gyno oncologist knows exactly what i am like :) stubborn and persistant.

Hi....I have stage 1 grade 1 but mine is mucinous.  I have not had any chemo but have exam from gyn/onc every three months and CT scan every 6 months....You talk about grade 1 is that the stage you are as well........  I am praying everything will be okay for you, and you seem to be on top of it....Which is really important....Have you been told that chemo will be done or do you wait until after the surgery on Tuesday....

Let me know.

Love, Dawnlyn
