how dangerous is Mayoma?

by shyie, Jun 20, 2007 12:00AM
My mom got a second opinion from a doctor, the doctor found 2 Mayoma both on her left and right ovary? On the first opinion on her first checkup with the other doctor, they’ve only seen one, the one in the right ovary. Why’s that only one existing Mayoma was shown on the first test? How dangerous is Mayoma? Is it true that this kind of cyst is prone to cancer? Is there other therapeutic ways of removing this bad cyst without getting into the operating room? My mom is really anxious of being operated, appreciate your help.

Your question was interesting to me since I have not looked into fibroids all that much.  So, I looked it up and found the following link you may find interesting.  On this link, there are several questions about Myoma and what the best course of action may be, given age, fertility status, etc.

Best of luck to you both!
