how long will test results take

Hiya i live in the uk and had a 10cm cyst and my right ovary removed 12 days ago. The doctor took biposy and also biopsy from left ovary im waiting for the results and was wondering how long people have had to wait before they got there results ( i havent been offered a follow up appointment, he said i would only get one if there was something wrong). Im afraid to ring and ask for the results at least while i dont know im still healthy...ish it sounds daft but im scared to find out. He said becasue i was 23 its unlikly but i still am getting anxious every day i havent heard anything.

I was scheduled incorrectly to hear my results one week after my surgery and got all worked up anticipating the results only to be told that the results would not be back for at least 10 days!!! Then because of scheduling, had to wait another 10 days to see my dr (00 i live in thailand). I know how you feel and I don't agree with Drs saying that they will call or arrange an appointment only if....This is something that they should tell you in person wether it's good news or bad.  Please call  your Dr and if they have not received the results, tell them you will call the next day and the next and the next till you get an answer.  Hope it is possitive news!!!

It only took two days for me to find out, but my doc pushed the lab for the results for me.  Everything was benign and I had three cysts 6 cm and larger.  Go ahead and call the doctor for the results, you have a right to know and to put your mind at ease.  99% of cysts are benign.  And maybe it is a good thing you haven't heard by now..I'm sure your doctor would have called you by now if the results were NOT good to start a treatment plan.

Call and find out so it won't always be in the back of your mind.  Your life is too beautiful to have to worry....I'm sending you a big hug and a dose of courage to call.
