i am so confused

hey everyone, sorry i haven't posted in a few days.  i've been thinking a lot.  the dr. i went to on monday did a ca125 and set me up for an appt. on the 26th of this month.  he told me i could go back to work.  on wed. i was doubled over at work in severe pain my manager brought me home.  when i got here i called the dr. and they informed me that they no longer take medicaid so if i need to see the dr. it would cost me $200.00.
and when my test results come in they will call me to come pick them up.  if i want the dr. to explain the tests to me it would cost me more money.  what happened to the compassionate dr's?  i am in so much pain i went back to the er and they explained that since i already knew what was causing the pain and since i already have pain meds to go home and take them there was nothing they could do for me.  sorry to vent but i just needed to get this off my chest.  i guess i just need to deal w/ the pain and let the cysts just keep rupturing, because i can't find a dr. who wants to even try to treat me.
thanks for listening, you ladies are great.

This will probably sound really odd to you, but each local utility normally has what it calls a CARES representative and they deal with all kinds of financial and medical problems for their customers.  If you contact one, they might very well be abe to give you the name of a doctor who is a bit more "feeling" and "reasonable."

Good luck to you.

Let me just say that my jaw dropped when I found out how uncompassionate you doctor and the ER doctors were.  First of all, why did your doctor see you and  run the tests if he knew you were on Medicade?  Second of all, he sounds like a real jerk, and he is not the type of person you want treating you!!  There are several doctors who will take Medicade so you just need to find the right person.  Plesae keep your chin up and keep us posted.  Kasie

If you have Medicaid, then they can not charge you.  While they can deny seeing Medicaid because they have met their "quota" of new patients for the year, they cannot charge you money.  You need to look for a doctor that is accepting new medicaid patients.
