inaccurate pelvic/ transvaginal ultrasound

I have been having severe bloating, gas and nausea with lower back pain and lower abdominal pain for a month.  I saw my regular doctor about a month ago and was diagnosed with GERD.  Still not feeling well after a month and went to see GP yesterday and mentioned that I am concerned about ovarian cancer.   She took my concerns seriously and immediately called  radiology dept.  and requested an abdominal, pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound.   She called radiology around 4pm and told the lady she needed it done stat.  Anyway, my doctor had me drink about 10 oz.of water and literally rushed me out the door because they closed at 5pm.   I felt so rushed and extremely anxious!   I felt severe pain in my lower back and above my hip after the transvaginal ultrasound.  Is that normal?  Anyway, my doctor called me today and said my test came back normal.  There were no abnormalities.  For some reason that doesn't sit well with me.  I am still having pain and I understand that I was suppose to drink a minimum of 32 ounces of water one hour before the test.  Could it be possilbe for the results to be inaccurate b/c i did not drink enough water? Could they have missed something??   I've already made and appointment with a gynocologist.  I will ask the doc. to order another ultrasoudn  on Tues.   Am I over reacting or just being paranoid?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

sageje05- I have just went through the same thing.
I had the same symptoms and went for an ultrasound and the vaginal one when they go inside. The told me I have a "Thick uterus". Sounds gross. But I also have on going Urinary Tract Infections as well 5 have poped up since april. And iv been having most of my simptoms since last November. I have been refered to a Gastrologist. If you dont mind. I would love to hear how things go. I am still waiting for my appointment to be booked with the geino.

No, I don't think you are over reacting at all.  You know something is going on and you are making an effort to find out what it is.  If you aren't proactive when it comes to your health who would be?
You keep on pushing until you get explanations as to why you are having lower back pain, bloating, gas and nausea.   You know your body......you know if something is wrong......don't let anyone discourage you.
I doubt the amount of water (unless you really didn't drink what she said you should) would make a difference......but, who knows.
It's good you are going to see a gynecologist.....that is a good place to start.  I hope you get some answers there......good luck.
Peace.
