infection in ovaries
Hell I am a 32 year old female i went to the er today with complaints in my lower abdomen area after checking me for urniary tract infections and kidney stones the dr just said that I have or may have infection in my ovaries  not explaining anything else what does this mean should i be scared I have little or no pain butt ifeel a little in the dark

HI,
How are you? I hope you are better. Pain in the lower abdomen can be because of pelvic infection which can occur in the ovaries or the fallopian tubes. This is easily tackled by antibiotics. Other causes that need to be ruled out are ovarian cysts and endometriosis. If pain recurs then a scan may be done.
