just a question

hello my name is shelly childers and i just had a question.i was diagnosed with cervical displaysia a couple years ago and it was treated right away. after i had the leep done my cirvix closed over and i had to have an emergency d and c. now i have a ovarian cyst and i wanted to know if the two are connected some how if you can let me know i would really appreciate it.

Hello Shelly, I am an oncology nurse but my advice in no way takes the place of your healthcare provider. The leep procedure was an appropriate treatment for your cervical dysplasia and the development of an ovarian cyst was in my opinion not related. Many women develop ovarian cysts and they go away by themselves but some do require treatment. Your healthcare provider can determine what is best for you. Again the cervical dysplasia is in my opinion not related to the ovarian cyst.
