HI
Thank you for your words of encouragement. I appreciate it and i am looking into it. I just hope it is nothing. I have been doing a lot of praying about this, and i hope it is just my dr. being cautious. She said she didn't think it was cancer of any kind so i am trying to hold onto that!! I hope all went well with your surgery and that your mass is benign. MY prayers are with you as well.
Thank you for your thoughts and positive energy. I have my ultrasound of abdomen and vagina on the 16th. Having it at hospital so that they can do both at same time.I also have my annual with ob/gyn on monday the 9th and will speak to him then. It is just so scary!! Cancer is my big fear!
I just went through this last week. I went to my GI doc and they wanted to do a colonoscopy. I told them I wasn't interested in that but I would do a CT scan of the lower abdoment as that will detect anything in that area. Sure enough, doc called next day and said I had a large complex mass on my midline. I went and saw my GYN next day and he did a vaginal ultrasound to confirm and did some blood tests. My CA-125 came back elevated and he wanted me to see a gyn/onc as they specialize in female problems. I went today to the oncologist and he doesn't seem too concerned but it does need to come out laparatomy. He asked me when I wanted to do the surgery. I said, "What are you doing tomorrow?" He laughed and said that sounds great.
Within 1 week, I have diagnosed and getting this thing out of me tomorrow. You have to be persistant and get 2nd opinions if needed. Pray for divine healing...GOD is with us and does not want us to be sick. Try and stay positive as that will help you be at peace with the situation.
Let us know what you find out and Good Luck!
God Bless!
Wendy
I can certainly understand your concern......but "worry" is not a good thing to do. It can make one crazy ; and that is not fun. If you are worried about ovarian cancer it is premature and borrowing trouble is not wise.
Before you start worrying, you need to get your trans-vaginal ultrasound and have it read by the radiologist. When they have the report you will know more and you will know what needs to be done (if anything).
Waiting is not easy nor is it fun, but, quite often, we have no choice.
Just get your test scheduled and get the process started.
Please do come back and let us know what you find out. There are many of us here who really do care and will help any way we can.
Peace.
