lymphadenopathy

I was operated on for Stage 3C ovarian cancer three years ago. My CA125 has been good. It was never high even when I had cancer (18).  I still have lymphadenopathy on my cat scan. Does that mean I still have cancer?

Are you saying your CA 125 never went above 18?  Has the lymphadenopathy been present on your other scans, or is this something new?  If it is new ask for a PET scan, that will tell it they are active and show if they are cancer or not.  They inject you with a radioactive glucose which is taken up faster by cancer cells than normal cells, twait about 20 minutes then get scanned.

I am a 3C also who had a normal CA 125, it was 14 on diagnosis and 3.9 when I recurred, I am now being followed by scans.  I ignore the number because I am one of the 80% for whom it has no value.  Good luck to you, keep me posted
