menstrual cramps on a reg basis?

It seems that every i get menstrual cramps wether or not i'm on my period and the pain is so sharp on both ovaries so it seems. i thought i was pregnant but i'm not. my breasts are swollen and tender just like when i get my period and the cramps come and go. i dont know if this could be ovarian cancer or if these could be symptoms of cysts in my ovaries. theres not history of cancer in my family other than prostate cancer of which my grandfather is a survivor, but my sister and my cousin have had cysts and ovarian problems.

It sounds a lot like cysts to me.  You should see your gyn and get checked beacause even benign cysts sometimes require treatment.  Hormones can be out of balance with cysts too and can cause some of the symptoms you described.  Most cysts are benign (especially in your age group).  It can be scary to have these symptoms but make sure you insist your gyno checks all just to be sure.  I don't think from where you are now you should worry about ovarian cancer being the cause.  Your symptoms sound so much like cysts and there isn't anything that stands out as very unusual.  You can ask your gyno for a transvaginal ultrasound and that will be able to identify if an ovarian cyst is the cause.   Good luck.

I have dealt with ovarian cysts a lot over the past few years, and I always had the same symptoms of being pregnant each time I had a cyst on my ovary. In fact, when I was pregnant, I finally had brushed it off as another cyst on my ovary, and scheduled an appointment as such to find out I really was pregnant the last time.

Now, I'm having some same symptoms and some different symptoms, I'm going to have a ultrasound done next week, so we'll know then for sure if it is a cyst again, but the different symptoms are really weird (like urgent urination, not being able to eat, gassy, feeling full and bloated, and its very uncomfortable to have intercourse). So I'm wondering if its something else. Its really weird to me this time.

But I would definitely get an appointment to see your doctor as soon as possible.  I hope this helps you.

Best Wishes,

Thank you hopeshell! I spoke to my sister who has had several cysts and surgery for removal and she said that i might have cysts or i am just  "ovulating" and that causes the pain..but i'm sure that shouldnt be this painful...i think  i have a cysts or more than one. last night i had to curl up on my couch because the pain was so bad. I feel as if i am always on my period....jaja and so does my mood =-P i will definatly ask my doc to schedule me for a transvaginal ultrasound. i dont know if you would have any idea, but i was told i have hpv type 16 which is one of the types that causes 70%of cervical cancer do you think this might have anything to do with it? thought i'd ask =-) thanks again, take care.
