mild dysplasia

i was recently diagnosed with mild dysplasia -- is it still safe to have sex or will this worsen the condition??  

is there anything you should or should not do??

Hi,

Dysplasia is pre-cancerous changes to the cells of the cervix usually caused by an infection from the HPV (human papilloma virus.)  Having sex should have no impact at all on the condition.

Usually with mild dysplasia, your body will clear the changes to the cells by itself without the need for medical intervention. If it progresses, there are a variety of treatments which are almost always 100% effective.
