mums surgery

hi all, just to let you know mum had her surgery yesterday, had  hysterectomy, removed ovaries, fallopian tubes, omentum, and of course those horrible aliens, and had some bowel cut away, she is doing very well today, still has a lovely smile for us all, we are just so pleased thats another hurdle over, she looks fantastic, surgeon said everything went really well, some nodules left which couldnt be removed, but hoping chemo will get rid of, or at least shrink a lot, i could dance and shout at the top of my voice, this is so amazing, as 3 months ago surgery wasnt an option. she is road to recovery now, yippeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hope everyone is well and doing good, thanks to all who posted and was sending prayers and good thoughts to my wonderful, beautiful mum xx

That is such fantastic news about your mom.  It sounds like she is a real trooper.  I am sure that chemo will do the trick (need to keep those positive thoughts going).  You and your mom will continue to be in my prayers.  Kasie

hi, thanks for your reply, mum was diagnosed in january with the same stage as your mum, we were told she had 6 months to a year to live, and that it was in-operable, how wrong could they have been. chemo worked really well, after 4th round of carbo they did ct scan, tumours had shrunk and sent her to gyn hospital the surgeon said they had shrunk so he would give surgery  a go, thankfully he was able to remove most of it, so dont despair, and please show this all to your mum, as there is hope, always hope. we are proof of that. fingers and everything else crossed for you and your mum, take care xx
