I don't think a doctor should ignore a complex cyst especially with free fluid and things on your liver. No matter the size, I believe they most always remove complex cysts b/c they don't know exactly what they are filled with until they remove and biopsy them. I had one removed and it was only about 2.5 cm, but my doctor had me go through one cycle and when it was still there, he removed it (totally benignBenign ear cyst or tumor Benign positional vertigo, thank goodness). The pain is also telling you something is not right (not as in cancer, but probably some other gyno related issue). Having the same issues, very severe, and am currently pursuing all the follow up testing now. I know the frustration you must be having. Best of luck to you!
Hi...I'd get another opinion. It can't hurt and it would put your mind at ease. My complex cyst was found by an MRI (for back issues) and after seeing the GYN and waiting through a cycle, 2 VUS's showed it had grown and a laparoscopy was done. It turned out to be endometriosis. Also, if they are going to go in for the things on your liver, why can't they take a look at your ovaries/cysts?
Hi! Thanks for your input. I kind of thought I should get some sort of followup but I didn't want to seem like a hyperchondriac. I feel like the Drs. already think I worry too much. I just want to make sure the initial cyst actually went away and it wasn't an over sight by the radiologist. Who knows maybe I get these kinds of cysts all the time and just didn't know it. I know someone who has ovarian cancer and it spread to her liver (she's OK now) so I worry about that quite a bit. All my liver labwork has been normal. I went ahead and scheduled another US to check on this latest cyst but I wonder at what point do I quit having all these US and just assume everything is OK. When they let me know more about my liver I might have them check on the cyst during surgery if it is still there. Thanks!
