need to know what to do to get rid of.

i just had my gulbladder removed but my urine and my private area has a strong fishy smell what could  it be.I know what a uti feels like and this isnt it and it i have had it since my surgery a month ago

I agree with Dian;  you should ask the doctor to check you for infections.  

Curiously,  I read recently that your urine will produce a very strong odor after you eat asparagus!  So I guess it's possible that an odor might be caused by something you've eaten.  Have you added anything to your diet lately?

Sounds to me like you have an infection.   A vaginal infection doesn't feel like a urinary track infection.  If you have been experiencing this since your surgical procedure it makes sense there is a connection.  You need to contact your surgeon (or his nurse) and discuss what is going on.  It could be as simple as a yeast infection.....no matter what is going on.....it needs to be addressed.
