no pain no cyst

been having pain in abdomine for about a year finally went to doctor had an us in dec 06 didn't see right ovary had ct done on april 4 07 had 5cm cyst on ovary ,swollen lymph nodes, and fibroids. gyn had another us on 4-23-07. showed uterus 12.6x5.4.6.0 left ovary 2.3x1.9x2.5 right ovary 2.9x2.0x2.4 but ther is ahypoechoic structure 7.4x5.2x6.4 also an internal hyperechoic 1.3 . complex right adnexal mass may be dermoid or complex hemorrhagic cyst. it do have fatty fluid measurement. if i'm not having pain is there a need to have surgey. please help sceduled for june 19,2007.i'm 43 years old not having anymore kids.

Hi There,
You should consider surgery for a 7 cm cyst. It is sounds like a dermoid cyst by the ultrasound report. You do not have to have a full hysterectomy unless a malignancy is found 9which would be unusual). This cyst can twist and cause pain. Over time it will continue to grow.
