ovarian complex cyst

Please help me, I've laid and cried for days.  I have had some left side pain when I move a certain way so I went to doctor. Obgyn said I have a small simple cyst and a 4.2 centimeter complex cyst.  He wants me to sit and wait until  after my next menstural cycle to see what happens.   I'm afraid its cancer and waiting 4 weeks will be too late. I'm 36 and have 3 little children... Please can anyone help me understand what's going on????please I'm so scared

I am sorry you are scared. It is your health do not worry about your doctor. I quit my Oncologist in the middle of chemo because I found another doctor who cared more.

So what tests have you had? I assume a transvagubal ultrasound. It is not unusual to wait a cycle to see if the cyst resolves itself. If you feel this strongly something is wrong may be you need a second opinion. A second opinion never hurts. Do you have Primary Care Doctor you can talk to? Sometimes they can advocate for you.

You know your body. You have to advocate for yourself. You have to do it in a calm way. They will write you off as a hysterical female and ignore everything. I stay calm and just give them the facts like on Dragnet.

I had pain for overt 4 years. It is a shame doctors can't work faster. Keep pushing until you get an answer.
