ovarian cyst. prev BC

Hi. I have a 4cm cyst on my ovary. It could be functional but the USS was uncertain in the diagnosis. My CA125 is 100. I have bloating and irregular periods at present. I have had BC in the past. What should I expect to happen? Thank you. I am 36.

I would ask for a Gyn/Oncologist. They deal with more than just Cancer. They deal with more complex cases. The reason they are reluctant to take the ovaries is it throws you in menopuase and the symptoms are not fun like hot flashes and night sweats. Other things besides Cancer can drive the ca 125.

The ultra sound said cyst could be from endometriosis but im not diagnosed with that.  The dr was a Gynae consultant. I feel if it had been oncology more would have been done as I've had the ca125 a fair few times and it's never been raised.  He recommends having the cyst and my fallopian tubes removed but not my ovaries.  Im finding it hard to ignore the raised ca125 if I'm honest! !

What kind of Doctor is treating you and what is the next step? I imagine you have had an ultrasound. Have you had a CT Scan as well? It would be impossible to guess what is wrong over the internet. I imagine you are nervous if you have had BC. It is natural.
