ovarian cysts bilaterally

I've had a CT scan returned showing cysts on both my right and left ovary. They both measure 1 1/2 inches eaxh. I haven't had my gyno appoinment, that's Friday, but has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks

Thanks for the reassurance.

I don't know yet whether they are simple or complex because it wasn't clear enough although they did suggest "probably" simple. The main thing that bothers me is the pain that radiates through my groin and down my left thigh at the front. It's excrutiating and this comes from someone who has had degenarative annulus bulging in 3 discs in my spine for 12 years!

I guess we shall just have to wait and see.

Best wishes to you all :)

Hi there,
If you go down the posts you'll see that practically everybody has or had these cysts.  Some are complex cysts like I have which are more concerning and some cysts are simple cysts which have no septations in them and are filled with fluid only.  The simple cysts usually resolve on their own and the complex cysts usually need to come out to be sent to pathology to rule out anything malignant.  But even the chances for that are very low.  So based on the little info you have given I would say it sounds like pretty normal stuff and definitely follow up like you are doing.  Take Care.
