Sit tight. Tascha (Gatsby) should be passing by at some point, and she might be able to give you some info re: dermoids and calcification. I know she had two large dermoids removed a while ago.
could it be the waiting is because your youngest is just two months old? maybe the doc wants to see a bit more healing after the birth to see exactly how things look? --- I too have/had a unique anatomy. I had two separate uteruses and two separate cervixes -- that is until my hysterectomy last May- I am 51, my "babies" are 21 and 14, each from their own uterus and both c-sections. I know with me , with any and all my gyn issues the doctors always took a slow/ conservative approach as surgery with me was a bit more complicated than the "average" gal.
It sounds to me, as they couldn't rule out, although unlikely, dermoids or even if for certain it was calcification from your prior problems/surgeries so they want to wait to see if it gives you more trouble, goes away or continues to grow and maybe get more clarification of what it might be. I think, like you, I would be nervous waiting through the next four weeks not knowing what is going on, but at the same time, I would feel blessed that your doctor is not just jumping in and cutting when he doesn't feel reason to be alarmed just yet. I had a dermoid removed in 1994. They don't go away by themselves and continue to grow, but maybe the calcifications just stay the same and won't cause problems if left alone. I don't know about the later, just thinking that is what it sounds like.
Sorry I couldn't help you more :(
