First of all, most often the mass is a benignBenign ear cyst or tumor Benign positional vertigo cyst that can cause symptoms, but you do want to have follow-up to see what it is. Especially if you have not been feeling well for this long.
What did the doctor offer for follow-up or say it could possibly be?
Ask for a copy of the ultrasound report, to keep in your personal records.
Try not to think the worst (because something serious like cancer is rare), but be diligent in getting an answer for the mass and symptoms.
